Description
Islay Creek is the main campground at Montaña de Oro State Park. It offers 48 standard campsites for RVs, trailers, and tent campers. It is located out of the ocean view, but the sound of the waves is still audible here. 3 horse campsites, 2 group horse campsites, and 4 environmental campsites are also available.
Each site has a picnic table and fire ring with grill, but no hookups. Vault toilets, piped water, and campfire circle are on site. Nearest showers are at Morro Bay State Park. Reservations are available from Mid-May to mid-October. The rest of the year, the sites are on first come, first serve basis. 4 sites are wheelchair accessible.
Camping fee is $25 a night. Maximum length of vehicles accommodated is 27 feet.

Flat bitumen parking area with grass behind bollards where there is a picnic table, food box and fire ring. Pay camping fee using envelope or see camp host. Firewood is available from camp host. Ranger comes round daily. Short walk to the beach. Lots of walks/mountain bike trails around headland etc
