Description
Kern River campground has two sections with 25 campsites each. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided in each site which can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. Restrooms and showers are located on site, with drinking water spigots and trash barrels all through the campground. There is a dump spot near the exit.
Use of generators is allowed but campers must observe quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. Make sure to attend to your child all the time because the current of the river has swept people to death at some point.
Camping fee is $24 a night.

Nice spot directly at the river, very green. We did self registration and payment since we arrived by 9pm. Restrooms clean.

Very nice place to stay, but very difficult to register and pay at a booth. Especially when you are senior and want a discount. The restrooms are the most filthiest I have ever seen.

The place appeared to be prime with RV's level and right on the river bank. They were separated from the street by a high metal fence. I drove another half mile in search of a kiosk but no one was around. There was a sign saying 'free camp sites do not stop'. It was a terrific location.
