River canyon and mountain views surround this campground which sits on the edge of Kings River. A total of 17 sites lies on a large, sandy flat area. Spring and Fall are the best season to camp at Kirch Flat where you can enjoy the challenging rapids of the river.
Oak and pine trees provide enough shade. No trash bins and water are available. There is only a vault toilet, picnic tables, and parking space. This free campground accommodates tent campers and trailers not exceeding 30 feet. You can stay for as long as 14 days at Kirch Flat.

The campground looked very nice, but it was locked. Although it says open on the website. Better call them before you drive that distance.
