Description
Located 23 miles east of Placerville on Highway 50, Loon Lake Group Campgrounds accommodates big families or groups on its grounds. It offers three campsites: a walk-in campsite containing 10 units that can hold 50 people altogether; a tent, trailer, or RV site that has six units and can accommodate 35 people; and an equestrian group site with five units and can sleep 25 people.
Campers can go swimming and fishing at the lake, hike non-wilderness trails, go horseback riding towards the Van Vleck area, and have a picnic at any of the five picnic area at Loon Lake.
