Description
The McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park is within the Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region, featuring a beautiful centerpiece that is the 129-foot Burney Falls.
The park's landscape was created by volcanic activity and erosion from weather and streams throughout decades. Visitors will be surrounded by mountain peaks and see some areas covered by black volcanic rock, or basalt. The water emerges within the park as springs at and above the falls, where it usually flows at 100 million gallons every day.

The campground is ok, nothing special. The falls are very special! Worth the visit. Beautiful! The falls loop trail is 1-1/2 miles and very pretty.
