Description
This campground in Mojave National Preserve offers privacy and serenity with its secluded location.
It has clean pit toilets, trash receptacles, fire rings, and picnic tables. However, there is no water in the area so make sure to keep yourselves loaded with supply. There is no dump station or utility hookups, too.
Rate is at $12 a night, and they offer 50% off to some passes. This camp site is on a first-come, first-served basis, no need for reservations. A campsite can only accommodate a maximum of 8 people with 2 vehicles.
There are about 13 campsites that survived the Hackberry Fire that swept the area in 2005 and burned most of the vegetation.
You can do hiking, biking, wildlife watching, or stargazing in this campground.
Roads leading to Mid Hills are unpaved and is not recommended for motorhomes and trailers.
