Description
With 3,600 feet of elevation, Monte Cristo campground offers spectacular views of the mountains. It features 19 spacious sites and some accessible sites for a perfect camping with family or friends. Picnic tables, toilets, and drinking water are available on site. A short drive will bring you to the trailhead to Granite Mountain and to the cool waters of Switzer Falls.
Camping fee is $12 a night. All sites are for walk-ins and no reservation is needed. RVs up to 30 feet can be accommodated but hookups are not available. Each site can have a maximum of 8 guests and 2 vehicles. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. Pets must be on leash all the time.

Great place. Stream runs through the center. On weekends expect several people using it for the day and the camp to be full. Either get there early in the morning or wait till around dusk. By night fall you can expect at least one or two sites to become available. During the week there is usually spots open.

Only bad thing is on weekends it can be loud. It is near the road and motorcyclist like to ride on that road.
