Description

Monterey Veteran's Memorial Park is a popular and beautiful 50-acre park, which makes an affordable and fun way to stay overnight in the Monterey Peninsula. Aside from the spacious campground, the park includes hiking trails under towering Monterey Pine forest and bay views. While campsites are on a first-come, first-serve basis, there are two group areas that can be reserved for overnight youth groups of up to 100 people, and three day-use picnic areas which can also be reserved. Each site has a BBQ picnic area, play equipment, turf and lawn playfield and a basketball court.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz. Es hatte auch am Abend noch genügend freie Stellplätze.

Great site that felt safe at night. We turned up at around 3pm on a Sunday and there were still sites available. Toilets were clean and the shower was free and warm. It's on a hill, but possible to walk to the pier in Monterey in 25-30 minutes.

Great campground, around April you will be almost alone on the campground. Toilet and showers are basic but ok.
