Description

Monterey Veteran's Memorial Park is a popular and beautiful 50-acre park, which makes an affordable and fun way to stay overnight in the Monterey Peninsula. Aside from the spacious campground, the park includes hiking trails under towering Monterey Pine forest and bay views. While campsites are on a first-come, first-serve basis, there are two group areas that can be reserved for overnight youth groups of up to 100 people, and three day-use picnic areas which can also be reserved. Each site has a BBQ picnic area, play equipment, turf and lawn playfield and a basketball court.

Great campground, around April you will be almost alone on the campground. Toilet and showers are basic but ok.

Such a lovely place! Can be foggy in the evenings but even this looks really cool and mystic. Super friendly ranger who helps a lot if you have questions!

Nice clean campground. Flat sites with picnic table and fire pit. Friendly rangers. Free hot showers. Some hiking trails around the park. We left chairs and towels on our site while we went into town for the day and had no issues with theft or anything.
