Description
Jeffrey pine, sugar pine, and white fir trees surround this campground which has 7 campsites resting on a small valley. Boulder Canyon trail can be accessed from here. It will also be fun to walk around the hills nearby and admire the beautiful views of mountains and trees.
Tables, BBQ grills, and fire rings are provided in the sites. There is a pit toilet, but no water so make sure to bring enough for your needs. Cooler temperatures are expected in this campground which is 6,650 feet above sea level.
Wildflowers are beautiful during spring and early summer. Wildlife is also abundant here where you might be luck to spot a California condor or red-tailed hawks.
Camping fee is $20 a night. Pine Mountain campground is open from May to December.
