This spot has a great view of the ocean just off Cabrillo Highway. You will wake up with the sound of the wave and the smell of salt in the air. There are no facilities or amenities so make sure you are self-contained. Restaurants and lodging inn are nearby.

We could easily stand one night at this place. We stood there with 3 more cars.

We parked our car in one of those pull outs without no parking" sign near the big sur area. Around 10pm a ranger knocked on our car told us that its not allowed to park overnight at any of these spaces near big sur and that the fine would be 1000 dollars per person. Fortunately she was really friendly and let us leave without paying a fine. We would really recommend searching for a legal camping place :)

Wie standen mit 2 x28ft. Campern hier, es war super toll, denn Sonnenuntergang zu schauen. Es ist noch Platz für weitere Autos, Wohnmobile. Abends war die Straße kaum befahren, man konnte gut schlafen.
