We drove to the parking lot on the first night of our trip. The Safeway employee told us that he wouldn't report us, but the police came by at regular intervals and there were signs posted that prohibited sleeping in the car. There was also a lot going on in the evenings. We then decided against spending the night there and preferred to park inconspicuously in a nearby residential area at the end of a dead end and spend the night.
