Located in Eldorado National Forest, Sand Flat Campground offers many activities such as swimming, fishing, picnicking, and hiking trailheads. Campers should check with the campground attendant or the entrance board before setting up camp. Single units are limited to one vehicle and six people per site, while double units are two vehicles and 12 people.

Nice camping, close to the river. No flush toilets and water available. Places for fire and bbq. They sell fire wood for 6$ but allow to gather some wood on the campsite.

A little close to the highway, but next to the river cancelled the traffic noise. Pulled in at 5pm on a Wed the 3rd week of Sept. 2017 With a class C & a car in tow only 3 vacant spots available at that time. Has water & a dump site.
