Seacliff State Beach is known for its fishing pier and concrete freighter, the SS Palo Alto, as well as a popular swimming spot. There is a long stretch of sand backed by bluffs that visitors can view from the covered picnic facilities and visitor center. The beach offers 26 full hookup and 37 non-hookup RV sites, and the closest tent camping is at the neighboring New Brighton State Beach.

$65 a night is to steep for a camp spot.

..... the enterprise only lasted 2years with the onset of the depression. A lovely spot to camp beside the Pacific. Although I must say the sand is course & Grey, making the water look dirty- I guess we are spoilt in Australia

Great spot. The wreck of the concrete SS Palo Alto at the end of the pier interesting. It was built for WW1 as a tanker, but by the time she was built the war was over. Construction was concrete as metals were scarce at the time. After a few years of sitting idle, it was purchased , & converted to a fun ship- with a casino, fine dining & dancing.
