Description
Trapper Springs sits on the west of Courtright Reservoir where campers can have fun fishing, boating, kayaking, and canoeing. You can also hike the trails leading to Dinkey Creek and John Muir Wilderness. The campground is a long drive of 35 miles from Shaver Lake which puts off the campers, but it will be worth it to camp in a mountain lake setting.
The campground has 70 sites with picnic tables, grills, and bear-proof food storage lockers. Vault toilets and potable water are available. The flat sites are good for large RVs up to 35 feet in length. Trapper Springs is usually open from May to September.
Camping fee is $24 a night for a maximum of 6 people per site. Campers can stay for as long as 14 days. Sites can be reserved through recreation.gov.
