Description

Travertine Hot Springs are a group of geothermal mineral springs sat on several sizeable travertine terraces, offering visitors overlooking views of the High Sierra mountains while on a mud bath activity. As it is located on California State Park land, volunteers have built a series of primitive rock pools and wood-and-concrete enclosures to hold the water in place, and to control the temperature by diverting the flow through stepped channels. There is also an ADA-accessible improved cement tub, which is close to the parking area and suitable for larger groups of four to eight people.

Take the gravel road off the main road to Travertine Hot Springs, about 100m before the Hot Springs sign there is spacious road going to the left, providing spaces for about 10 RVs and trailers. Wouldn't recommend more than 30ft vehicles. Scenery is great, you can walk to the Hit Springs, which are very nice!

You can't camp right at the hot spring but there are a couple roads that branch off to the left about 1/2 mile before the spring where you can camp out, some fire pits but no amenities. Beautiful views and a short walk to the springs.
