Description
Enjoy Uvas Canyon County Park and find that the park has so much to offer, such as 7.2 miles of hiking trails, including a one-mile Waterfall Loop that travels along Swanson Creek past many of the park's waterfalls.
Take a pamphlet at the trailhead or at the ranger's office, which highlights the flora of the county park and go on a self-guided interpretive trail. There are individual picnic sites available on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is the Black Oak Group Picnic Area available by reservation for groups up to 75 people.
Camp at any of the 25 individual campsites and showers, but reservations are highly recommended. The Upper Bench Group Camping Area is for reservation for up to 50 people.

To get here you have to drive thru the small town of Svedael on a narrow road. Sign posts will indicate that Uvas is at the end of the road.

Camp sites were spacious and flat. Facilities were the best I've ever experienced--clean restrooms, warm water, hot showers. Gates close at sunset, no entry/re-entry after that.
