Description
Located in the Carrizo Valley region of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, this primitive campground has trailer and RV sites, and a separate tent camping area which has 22 sites. 8 sites are also available in the equestrian area. You can have peace and quiet with its desert solitude setting, but has slightly cooler temperatures compared to nearby sites.
A maximum of 8 people can stay in a single site, along with 1 vehicle and 1 towed. Pets are allowed but must be on leash. RVs of up to 40 feet in length can be accommodated. There is a picnic table and fire ring in each site, and in the campground itself, there are restrooms with flush toilets, tap water and picnic area. Playground and horseshoe pit are also available.
This campground usually closes during summer because of extreme heat. Nearby attractions you can visit are Butterfield State Station and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
Campsite fee is $24 a night, group site which can accommodate up to 35 people costs $50 to $100.
