Description

Vermillion campground sits on the northwest shore of Lake Thomas Edison where a public boat launch ramp is located. You can also explore Ansel Adams and John Muir Wilderness nearby. In the campground itself, beautiful mountain views can be seen. Campfire programs are also offered during summer. All of its 31 campsites have picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food storage lockers. Tents and small RVs can be accommodated here. However, some sites are sloped and may not be suitable for tents. There is a water spigot on site, but as precaution, it would be better to boil the water first before drinking. Vault toilets are available in the campground. Camping fee is $28 for a single site which can accommodate a maximum of 6 people for as long as 14 days. Minimum stay on weekends is 2 nights, and 3 nights on holiday weekends. An additional fee is $2 is also collected during holidays. The campground is open to campers from June to September.
