At the moment it is illegal to park or camp here due to forest restrictions in order to protect bears. Not allowed until 27 October and you might face a pretty high fine! See photo attached. From 1 November you need a permit... We moved on and camped the night at Luther Pass Dispersed Camping which is 20km out off town.
