Description
Rocky mountains surround this campground which features 69 family sites and 6 double sites. Tables, fire rings, and BBQ grills are provided in each site. Vault toilet can be accessed in the campground, but there is no water available. RVs up to 35 feet can be accommodated, although there are no hookups and dump station in the campground.
Across the camp is the Wheeler Gorge Visitor Center where interpretive displays, exhibits, and naturalist programs can be accessed. On the west side of the campground, trailhead to Wheeler Gorge Natural Trail can be hiked by campers.
Quiet hours must be observed from 10pm to 6am. Camping fee is $25 a night for 6-8 people, and $50 a night for a double site. Sites can either be reserved or availed on a first come, first serve basis.
