El Matador is the most popular beach within Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach. Its parking lot has picnic tables overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You can climb down the stairs to go all the way to the beach. Sunsets are always amazing in this part. It is a popular spot for photographers, especially those who are shooting swimsuit models.
