Description
La Jolla Cove is a small cove and beach with picturesque vistas, as the area is surrounded by cliffs and protected as part of a marine reserve. The water temperature is also often a little colder than the average San Diego beach, and the beach has the disadvantage as the dry sand area is very small at high tide.

Really nice place to stop at any time, specially in the morning!lots of sea lions to be seen in the natural habitat! Also underwater park to see : snorkelling, scuba diving.

Snorkeled with playful sea lions and swam to the giant sea kelp forests. Not much in terms of fish diversity but amazing fun nevertheless! Getting cold now, so those without wetsuits will probably only last 30minutes. Nearby Snorkel and wetsuits can be hired at the shops up round the corner. Loved it!
