Description

Have an adventure at Rainbow Pool Day Use Area, located along Highway 120 at the South Fork Tuolumne River bridge. The area was once a toll stop that later on became a popular resort which burned down in 1958. Today, it is a popular picnic area due to its proximity to the swimming basin of Rainbow Pool. There are no amenities onsite, except limited parking spaces and vault toilets.

Nice waterfall, quite rough when we were here so we didn't swim. Still a lovely area to relax and dip your toes in!

Good for swimming and jumping from a waterfall. Dirty toilets but shady parking.
