Description

It will take around 30 minutes to hike this half a mile ADA-accessible trail round trip. It is located 13 miles west of Furnace Creek on CA-190. Though unpaved, roads can be accessed even by sedans. The boardwalk is open all year round but water only flows from November through May. Spring is probably the best time to visit this because pupfish are reproducing at this season. There are interpretive signs along the trail where you can learn about their behavior, adaptations, and how they relate to other pupfish. The parking lot for this is huge enough to accommodate RVs and buses. There is also a vault toilet located.
