Description

Angels Camp Museum is home to one of the largest collections of carriages and wagons in the United States, and is a popular international destination with more than 30,000 square feet of exhibits on Gold Rush history. Stroll through the beautifully landscaped historical park to explore extensive indoor and outdoor exhibits, featuring a doctor's office, a Mark Twain Exhibit, Ranching and Mining exhibits, and a Frog Jump History exhibit. Explore great views of the two steam traction engines onsite, an overshot water-wheel, a hydraulic monitor, drills, ore cars and even a working model of a famous stamp mill. Located right inside the entrance of the museum is the museum gift shop, where visitors can purchase some Calaveras-made honey, olive oil, coffee, Gold Rush era souvenirs, hats and shirts, and books on local history.
