Description
Go back in time at the Calaveras County Historical Museum Complex and see a historic courthouse, a jail yard and a Hall of Records. Climb upstairs to check out the Odd Fellows and Masonic Hall built in 1856. The museum also contains displays dating back to the Gold Rush era, such as information on famous outlaw Black Bart, the 'Gentleman Bandit' who was captured in 1888.
Learn more about Mi Wok through the Mi Wok Indian exhibit, which includes artifacts, photos and quotes revealing the ancient Mi Wok lifestyle.
