Description
Coit Tower is a 210-foot tower in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, that offers visitors panoramic views over the city and the bay. Built between 1932 and 1933 using Lillie Hitchcock Coit's request to beautify the city of San Francisco, the stunning tower has been added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
The art deco tower's interior boasts fresco murals in the style of American Social Realism, painted by 25 different onsite artists and their numerous assistants, as well as two additional paintings installed after creation offsite.
The tower is also called the Coit Memorial Tower, and is dedicated to the volunteer firemen who had died in San Francisco's five major fires.

Loved it! Dont miss this place. Spectacular views. Perfect for photos. Dont drive here. Rather start walking from the pier, take the stairs and enjoy the beautiful green surroundings.
