Description

Fort Ross is one of the main tourist attractions between Bodega Bay and Fort Bragg, showcasing a historic Russian-era fort compound that has been designated a National Historic Landmark status. The park spans 3,400 acres, featuring pristine natural landscapes and historic structures and exhibits that bring to life the former Imperial Russian settlement, early California Ranch era, and Kashaya territory. There's ample parking, a visitor center, clean restrooms, upper picnic areas, and a trail to the historic compound that is handicap-accessible.
