Fossil Falls Access Road, California
Description
The trail to Fossil Falls is a good hike when you want to break from driving off Highway 395, and it starts at this parking lot. Parking area has a restroom, and picnic tables.
From here, you will reach a rough basalt rock then end up at the site of an old waterfall. Lava flow and meltwater from glaciers during Ice Age formed this unique geological feature. Rock climbers also get attracted to it because of its 'finger-friendly' routes.

Use Cinder Road to reach the car park. Camping is possible in a separate area.

The car park is probably not big enough to turn around long vehicles. Camping is allowed close to the car park. There should be a sign on the way in.
