Description
Named the world's largest tree measured by volume, General Sherman tree is a popular attraction at the Giant Forest. It can be reached through the parking area and trail at Wolverton road where you just need to follow the signs. It runs half a mile down to the tree. There are exhibits along the trail where you can learn about the natural history of giant sequoias.

A must see! Biggest tree in the world by volume! 1385 tons of wood, about 90 meters high (270 feet) and approximately 2200 years old. Never go over the balustrade which circumferences it as you might hurt the sequoia's roots which are just bellow the surface.

Some 10 - 15 minutes of walk from the parking. Paved track with a loop at the end and the same way back. Good to see!
