Description

Monticello Dam, or known locally as the Glory Hole, is a 304-foot high concrete arch dam in Napa County, which impounded Putah Creek to create Lake Berryessa in the Vaca Mountains. The dam is noted for its classic, uncontrolled morning-glory-type spillway, with a diameter at the lip of 72ft.
