Golden Gate Park is a large urban park spanning 1,017 acres of public grounds, administered by the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department, which began to oversee the development of Golden Gate Park in 1871.
The park is similar in rectangular shape but 20 percent larger than Central Park in New York City, to which it is often compared. It is over three miles long east to west, and about half a mile north to south. Golden Gate Park is the third most-visited city park in the United States after Central Park and the Lincoln Memorial.
Park at the Music Concourse Garage, an 800-space underground parking lot that gives visitors direct access to the Music Concourse, the de Young and California Academy of Sciences museums, Japanese Tea Garden, and nearby San Francisco Botanical Garden and Conservatory of Flowers. There is also about 4,700 parking spaces available along roadways throughout the park.

For me it's not a park. There are many roads and some trees. You can drive everywhere with the car or take the bicycle. I took a bicycle and it was totally boring. Only streets and nothing else... When you are from Europe -> Don't go there, it's wasted time...
