Description

Keane Wonder Mine was in full operation producing 70 tons of gold a day in 1907. It was in 1942 when it ceased operation because of lack of raw material. Today, you can find the remnants of structures like the aerial tramway towers and terminals in the Death Valley. You can have a glimpse of the past and imagine what used to be the lives of the miners during its glory. As you hike the steep mile-long trail, you can admire the engineering of this mine. It is accessible from the parking area where you can just take a stroll to the mine camp. You will have a view of the lower tram terminal and few tram towers.

Interesting for mine enthusiasts. After the dirt road, it is a very short wal to the mine.
