Description

Follow the path of Yosemite's first people, over their trade route to the east, with the historic, trans-Sierra trail that climbs gently from the Mono Pass parking area through wet meadows and rushing creeks. Begin at Mono Pass Trailhead on Tioga Road, and take notice that at the Spillway Lake junction, the trail climbs steadily and more steeply to Mono Pass. Get a spectacular view of Mono Lake and Bloody Canyon that is not to miss.
