Description

This geologic formation in the Death Valley is said to have formed in the early or middle Pleistocene period. It is made up of ash bed, conglomerate, marl beds, mudstone and tephra beds. Inside Death Valley, there are a lot of exposed unique tectonics and geologic resources. Mormon Point is just one of the 61 formations known to exist in the park.
