Description

Find the lovely Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition for the purpose of exhibiting works of art. The most prominent building of the complex is the 162-foot high open rotunda enclosed by a lagoon on one side, and is neighboring a large, curved exhibition center on the other side that is separated from the lagoon by colonnades. It is one of San Francisco's largest single-story buildings, and the exhibition center is being used as a venue for events such as weddings or trade fairs.
