Description
Also known as the John F. McCarthy Memorial Bridge, the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge has served the needs of North Bay travelers for over 60 years since its completion. The bridge opened in 1956, replacing ferry service by the RichmondSan Rafael Ferry Company. The 7.5-mile four- to six-lane roadway provides bridge users with a convenient direct connection to Interstate 80 near Pinole.
