Description
Created by local resident Leonard Knight, it is said to be his tribute to God with its message 'God is Love.' it has religious scriptures like the Lord's Prayer, John 3:16, and the Sinner's Prayer. Flowers, trees, waterfalls, sun, and birds are just some of the colorful features of this artwork.
It is made from adobe clay and donated paint. The art is located in the California Desert in Imperial County, near the Slab City.
There is a group of volunteers who are maintaining the site because it constantly needs to be protected from the desert environment.

A unique piece of folk art in the desert. Admission is free. Donation s help maintain it. Access to the inside is often closed due to maintenance, rain, etc. Definitely worth the 5 mile drive off the highway.
