Description
Extending a half mile into the Monterey Bay, the Santa Cruz Wharf offers some of most thrilling views along the California coast as it is the longest wooden pier in the country. As it rests on over 4,400 Douglas-fir pilings, the wharf built in 1914 continues to offer a timeless Santa Cruz experience, where tourists and locals can stroll along its wooden walkways, and discover fresh seafood eateries in the area and local gift shops, as well as see the famous barking sea lions.
