Description

The Tallac Historic Site once held the 'Grandest Resort in the World', a former summer retreat for three of San Francisco Bay Area's socially elite families. Visitors can now see the remains of the resort and the restored estates. It is adjacent to Lake Tahoe, Kiva Picnic Area and the Taylor Creek Visitor Center, and is operated in partnership with the Tahoe Heritage Foundation.
