Description
From the Merrill Cave parking area to the western boundary of the monument, visitors can access the Whitney Butte Trail, which crosses the wilderness in an east-west direction, curving around Whitney Butte. Here, hikers can enjoy a majestic view of Mount Shasta and the Callahan Lava Flow.
