Description
At Hensley Lake Recreation Area, visitors and guests will be surrounded by the oak woodlands of the Sierra Nevada foothills and see the beautiful 1,500 acre lake created by the construction of Hidden Dam on the Fresno River.
The area houses several recreation spots that would fit any of the guests' needs. For those looking for a day-use site, the Buck Ridge Recreation Area has a swim beach and 33 picnic sites equipped with a table and a BBQ grill. There's also a group picnic area with BBQ, tables, and horseshoe pits available by reservation.
Campers can stay overnight or a maximum of 14 days at Hidden View Campground, with 55 campsites, flush restrooms with showers and a dump station. All sites are equipped with a picnic table, a fire pit, and a BBQ grill. Some sites have electric hookups, while others have a shade shelter.
Water activity enthusiasts will enjoy the lake's space for water-skiing, sailing, personal watercraft and pleasure boating, where launch ramps are located in the Buck Ridge and Hidden View recreation areas.
