Description
Family owned and operated since 1972, Ami's Acres Campground provides a variety of sites for RVs, small RVs, tents, groups, and alternative camping options. Be surrounded by mountains on all sides and be a few miles from downtown Glenwood Springs.
See large RV sites that can accommodate up to a 40-foot rig, with enough room for an additional vehicle. Most are pull-through sites with full hookups, while some are back-in sites for small RVs with electricity and water only. These sites may be smaller, but they are closer to the bathhouse facility for non self-contained units.
The campground also has walk-in tent sites, which are the most private option offered. Nestled at the base of the mountain with amazing views, most of these sites come with a fire pit and table top. Guests will have to walk anywhere from 100 - 200 feet from the parking area to get here.
There are also drive-in tent sites that are spacious, and allows guests to park their car right next to the tent for an easy set up. Most drive-in tent sites also have access to an electrical outlet for charging devices.
Guests coming in looking for a more comfortable stay can choose one of the few 'Mountain Man' cabins, equipped with electricity, a bed frame, a picnic table, and chairs each.

This was a good tent camping site. The sights were a little too close together for my tastes but well divided by bushes and other plants. Not all the tent sites have an open lane to path to the shared bonfire spots. This place caters to all types of campers from renters to wheel up RVs and campers and full size buses.
