Description
Elk Creek is an open campground with very few trees to provide shade. It is located on the shore of Blue Mesa Reservoir. There are 157 sites spread on 4 loops in the campground. Loop D is the only area with electricity. Reservations are recommended here.
Water, vault toilets, dump station, showers, tables, fire grates, visitor center, marina, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, and restaurant are some amenities on site. Camping fee is $16 a night for Loops A, B, and C, and $22 for Loop D.

We stayed here overnight as we were running out of daylight. The lake was frozen solid which was beautiful to see. The camp only had very limited sites open. In summer I am sure all the facilities would be available
