Description

This trail is located in the Chalk Creek canyon, home to Mt. Princeton, Mt. Antero, the historic townsite of St. Elmo and numerous four-wheel drive roads. The trail ends at Agnes Vaille Falls, a small waterfall that cascades from a rocky shelf below Mt. Princeton (14,197 feet). The trail is short and considered relatively easy for most hikers. Interpretive signs detailing the history of the falls and nearby mountain peaks and views of the historic Denver, South Park and Pacific railroad grade. The trailhead is located directly across from Chalk Lake campground. Parking is available for about 12 vehicles.
