Description

Bierstadt Lake sits on top of a forested moraine. It is a shallow lake which holds melting snow and rainwater. The trail is a steep climb but views of Continental Divide will make it worthwhile. When you reach the lake, snow-capped mountains can be seen. If it's a clear and calm day, the peaks are reflected in the water.
