Description

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument features petrified redwood stumps up to 14 feet wide. Thousands of detailed fossils of insects and plants can also be found here. Visitors can have self-guide hikes to Ponderosa Loop, Petrified Forest Loop, and Geologic Trail.
