Description
The Ludlow Memorial marks the site of the massacre which occurred in April 20, 1914. It was during the Colorado Coal Strike when the state's National Guard attacked and burned a tent community of striking coal miners.
Today, visitors can learn about this heartbreaking event with story boards filled with history and photos of the tent city and the massacre. It has a cellar door and stairs which lead down into the death pit.
