Description

Oak Flat trail begins at the visitor center and descends into a grove of aspen. It travels through Gambel oaks, Douglas fir, aspen, and chokecherry. This trail is perfect for those who want to explore below the rim but do not want to hike on the river. Be cautious of the narrow and steep slopes in some part of the trail.
