Description
This monument is dedicated to the 100 Connecticut men who lost their lives in the Battle of Iwo Jima along with 6,821 Americans. It is the only monument in the world built by Iwo Jima survivors.
It stands 40 feet and flies a 48-star American flag. It can be visited from dawn to dusk.
